Tossed by the Waves (Eph 4:14)

” So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all REACH UNITY in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and BECOME MATURE, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.15 Instead, SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, we will grow to become in every respect the MATURE BODY of him who is the head, that is, Christ… You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made NEW IN THE ATTITUDE OF YOUR MIND;24 and to put on the NEW SELF, created to be like God in true RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS.”

Tossed Back & Forth in the Cultural Storm

Let us hold fast to the sound doctrine of God’s Holy Word and let the application of God’s Word be anchored in our hearts. This daily act of devotion must be led by the Holy Spirit so that God’s divine inspiration and revelation can be revealed to us. God’s Holy Word revealed and anchored in our hearts will be like a compass directing and positioning us when we face the storms of life.

God wants His children to progress and move forward but sometimes because of the lack of God’s Word (which directs our lives to greener pastures) in our lives, we tend to stumble and be misled by the many voices of the enemy. God wants His children to be mature, walking in love, righteousness and holiness. God wants His children not to be tossed about like a boat without a rudder. HE WANTS US TO BE ANCHORED IN JESUS, steadfast and immovable in our faith (believing that God will help us in our situation) as we wavy through the storms of life. Yes, God wants His children to go through the storms, not in fear, not staying stuck in one position but moving forward towards greater things. Leaving the old behind and embracing Gods newness every day. To every beginning there is an end, to every storm, there defiantly will be an end, to the old. God will surely bring something new to your life as you stand upon His Word in faith and believing Him always. Amen! …….
